Mammoth Mountain Records Highest November Snowfall Since 2010

New York, Nov 30 (NationPress) Mammoth Mountain, located in the western state of California, has seen its snowiest November since 2010, following a major storm that brought nearly 50 inches of snow to the Eastern Sierra resort earlier this week.
The weather system that swept through the area from November 23 to 26 accounted for the majority of the 62 inches of snow the mountain has accumulated this month, as reported by the US National Weather Service, according to Xinhua news agency.
This snowfall total exceeds last year's November by one inch, which marked the start of a record-breaking winter season at the resort.
This year's Thanksgiving weekend is expected to be dry on the mountain, with no snowfall anticipated through Sunday. Consequently, the 88 inches of snow that Mammoth received in November 2010 will continue to hold the record for this month in the 21st century, as reported by The Los Angeles Times.
Mammoth Mountain, a lava dome complex partially situated within the town of Mammoth Lakes, California, is a prime destination for skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling during the winter months. It is recognized as the highest ski resort in California, notable for its exceptionally high snowfall compared to other peaks in the Eastern Sierra.
