Quito, Nov 6 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita engaged in discussions with Gabriela Sommerfeld, Ecuador’s Minister of Foreign and Human Mobility Affairs, during his official trip to the Latin American nation. Both parties examined avenues to enhance collaboration in politics, trade, pharmaceuticals, training, and capacity building, among other shared interests. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering cooperation between the diplomatic training institutions of India and Ecuador.
“Had a productive meeting with Gabriela Sommerfeld, discussing strategies to fortify our bilateral relations, focusing on politics, trade, pharmaceuticals, training, and capacity building,” Margherita posted on X on Thursday. “We have also signed an MoU on collaboration between our diplomatic training institutions.”
On Wednesday, Margherita and Minister Sommerfeld ceremoniously inaugurated the resident Embassy of India in Quito, emphasizing India's dedication to nurturing its partnership with Ecuador.
