Washington, March 25 (NationPress) First Lady Melania Trump has initiated a groundbreaking global coalition that unites 45 nations alongside leading technology companies, advocating for a unified effort to enhance access to education and technology for children across the globe.

During her opening remarks at the inaugural “Fostering the Future Together” summit held at the U.S. Department of State, she stated, “As individuals, we aspire. As leaders, we advance. As nations, we construct. Starting today, let’s expedite our new global alliance—this bond—to significantly influence the development of our children.”

This two-day summit gathers international dignitaries, spouses of leaders, and prominent tech firms to work together on enhancing educational resources and fortifying protections for children in the digital realm.

“The mission of our coalition is to empower children by granting them increased access to technology and education. This represents a pivotal moment in history,” the First Lady remarked.

In her speech, she unveiled a strategy centered on establishing innovative learning programs, advocating for supportive educational policies, sponsoring technology-driven legislation, and fostering collaborations between governments and the private sector.

“Our collective vision places children above political ideologies, geographical divisions, and local biases,” she emphasized, encouraging participants to commit to “hosting regional meetings, conducting research studies, forming new partnerships, and collaborating with other member nations.”

The summit is organized around four main themes: EdTech tools, artificial intelligence in education, online safety, and digital literacy.

She also acknowledged the involvement of major American technology firms, highlighting the industry's role in shaping this initiative. “Never before have so many tech innovators stood before such a vast global audience of leaders in the State Department and the White House over a two-day span,” she declared.

She mentioned companies such as OpenAI, Palantir, xAI, Google, Meta, Adobe, Microsoft, and Zoom, referring to the assembly as “unprecedented.”

“This gathering is filled with remarkable human resources. Leaders, use this opportunity to uplift your children, empower your communities, and stimulate your economies,” she urged.

The coalition’s platform, she noted, would function as a “capability multiplier,” grounded in artificial intelligence, education, and global leadership.

“Our primary goal: to nurture the skills that young individuals need to thrive in this rapidly changing world,” Trump asserted, emphasizing the necessity for “tangible initiatives that provide young people with the skills and knowledge they require.”

The First Lady indicated that the summit signifies “merely the beginning” of a wider global initiative. “Together, let’s invest, broaden access, and create educational and technological opportunities,” she stated.

The first day of the summit marks the coalition’s first significant in-person assembly since its inception during the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025. Discussions will proceed at the White House on Wednesday.
