Quetta, July 15 (NationPress) A Baloch human rights organization disclosed a recent event where Pakistani forces executed a mortar strike on a football field in the Kech district of Balochistan, resulting in the death of a teenager and injuries to six others.
On July 10, the Frontier Corps (FC) of Pakistan targeted a football ground in the Gwarkop region of Kech district, leading to the tragic death of a 15-year-old. Alongside, six individuals suffered injuries, one of whom is currently in a coma and battling for survival.
"On the evening of July 10, 2025, a mortar shell indiscriminately launched by Pakistan's FC struck a football field in the Gwarkop area, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy and injuring six others. The shell exploded while a group of young civilians was gathered to play football. Ali, the son of Ghulam Jan, aged 15, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a hospital in Turbat," the human rights organization, Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), stated on X on Tuesday.
"Among the injured is Shahab, a 20-year-old son of Dostil, who is currently in a coma due to severe injuries at a hospital in Karachi. Another critically injured individual, Jameel, aged 30 and son of Dil Murad, is also receiving treatment in Karachi," the statement further elaborated.
