Numerous Cabinet Nominees of Trump Face Threats

Washington, Nov 28 (NationPress) A number of nominees for US President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet and administration have been subjected to bomb threats and incidents of 'swatting', as reported by the Trump transition team.
Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for the Trump transition, stated on Wednesday, 'Last night and this morning, several of President Trump's Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, un-American threats to their lives and those who live with them.'
She elaborated that these threats included bomb threats and swatting incidents, but did not provide details on the specific individuals targeted.
Incidents of swatting involve falsely alerting law enforcement, typically police or SWAT teams, with the intent of provoking a large, heavily armed response at an innocent individual’s location, as per reports from the Xinhua news agency.
Authorities acted swiftly to secure the safety of those affected, as indicated in the statement shared on X.
Among those targeted were Susie Wiles, Trump’s incoming White House chief of staff, Pam Bondi, the former Florida attorney general selected by Trump to be the next US attorney general, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, nominated to be the US ambassador to the United Nations, Howard Lutnick, chosen for the role of secretary of commerce, and Brooke Rollins, nominated as secretary of agriculture, as reported by CBS News.
