Tragic Road Mishap in Pakistan Claims Two Lives, Leaves 15 Injured

Islamabad, Dec 9 (NationPress) A tragic road mishap in Pakistan's eastern Punjab region claimed the lives of two individuals and left 15 others injured on Monday morning, as reported by rescue teams.
The accident occurred in Sheikhupura district where a passenger van overturned due to excessive speed, according to statements from state-run Rescue 1122.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while making a turn on a major highway in the district, as per information from the Xinhua news agency.
Emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene and transported the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital.
Road safety remains a pressing concern in Pakistan, with a noticeable rise in both the occurrence and severity of accidents in recent years. Factors such as reckless driving, inadequate road conditions, and poor vehicle maintenance contribute significantly to the high rate of accidents.
