Earlier on the same day, two separate road accidents in Balochistan and Punjab resulted in at least 23 fatalities and numerous injuries, raising serious concerns regarding road safety, speeding, and poor visibility conditions throughout Pakistan.
In the first incident, nine individuals were killed, and 36 others were injured when a passenger coach overturned on the Makran Coastal Highway near Gwadar in Balochistan, according to local media outlets.

In another tragic event in Punjab's Sargodha district, 14 lives were lost when a mini-truck plunged into a dry canal due to dense fog. This incident took place near Ghalapur Bangla in Kot Momin tehsil, where extremely low visibility caused the vehicle to veer off the road.
Rescue officials confirmed that seven people died at the scene, while another seven succumbed to injuries during treatment at local hospitals.
At the time of the accident, 23 passengers were en route from Islamabad to Faisalabad to attend a funeral. Due to road closures caused by fog, the driver chose a local route. Among the deceased were women and children, all hailing from Islamabad.
