Washington, Jan 30 (NationPress) President Donald Trump announced that the United States will resume commercial air travel over Venezuela, marking a new era of collaboration that involves U.S. oil companies exploring investment prospects in the nation.

During a Cabinet meeting, Trump revealed he had a conversation with Venezuela’s interim president and directed immediate actions to enable travel. “I just talked to the president of Venezuela and informed her that we’re going to be opening up all commercial airspace over Venezuela,” he stated. “American citizens will soon be able to travel to Venezuela.”

He assured that travelers would remain secure. “They’ll be safe there,” Trump remarked. “It’s under very strong control.”

Trump noted that Venezuelans residing in the United States were paying close attention to this development. “The people in our country, especially in the Doral area of Miami, known as Little Venezuela, are excited,” he added.

He attributed this change to what he called a successful security operation and the strengthening of relations. “As you know, we’ve faced circumstances concerning Venezuela,” Trump mentioned. “I want to express my gratitude to General Caine and his team for their efforts.”

Trump emphasized, “We’re getting along exceptionally well with them. The relationships have been very solid, very positive.”

On the energy front, Trump stated that U.S. companies were already on the move. “We have major oil companies heading to Venezuela now to scout locations,” he said.

He asserted that this initiative would provide benefits for both nations. “They will bring back vast wealth for Venezuela and the United States,” Trump explained. “And the oil companies will prosper as well.”

Trump described the atmosphere in Venezuela following these announcements. “The Venezuelans were literally in the streets waving American flags, they were so delighted,” he shared.

He instructed Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and other relevant agencies to act swiftly. “I’ve directed Sean Duffy and everyone else involved, including the military, that, by the end of today, I’d like to see the airspace over Venezuela opened for flights,” Trump requested. Duffy affirmed, “Yes.”

Trump stated that this initiative would facilitate two-way travel. “Some of the former Venezuelans want to return, and others wish to visit; they will be able to do that,” he noted.

Venezuela possesses some of the world’s largest proven oil reserves, and prior to sanctions and regulatory restrictions, U.S. companies were actively engaged in its energy industry.
