Washington, June 16 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump has directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials to ramp up deportation efforts targeting undocumented immigrants in key US cities.

This initiative follows significant protests in cities like Los Angeles against the federal government's immigration policies.

Trump stated, "Our Nation's ICE Officers have demonstrated remarkable strength and dedication as they lead the largest mass deportation operation in history. Daily, the courageous men and women of ICE face violence, harassment, and threats from radical Democratic politicians, yet we will not waver in our mission to serve the American people," he shared via his social media platform, Truth Social.

"ICE Officers are hereby instructed, through this announcement, to utilize all available resources to achieve the monumental goal of executing the largest mass deportation program ever seen," he emphasized.

Trump insisted that immigration officials must broaden their operations to detain and deport undocumented immigrants from America’s largest urban areas, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where he asserted millions reside.

He remarked, "These cities represent the heart of the Democratic power structure, where they exploit undocumented immigrants to expand their voter base, manipulate elections, and increase the welfare system, depriving hardworking Americans of jobs and benefits. These radical left Democrats are out of touch, despise our nation, and are actively undermining our urban centers—and they are succeeding! There’s something fundamentally wrong with their ideology," the President expressed.

Trump criticized Democrats for endorsing policies of open borders and gender issues in sports.

He asserted this is why he has directed ICE, Border Patrol, and dedicated law enforcement officials to concentrate on the crime-prone and perilous inner cities, particularly those where Sanctuary Cities exert significant influence.

Trump declared his administration is committed to these deportation efforts to ensure American cities, schools, and communities are safe from undocumented crime.

"That's why I have mobilized my entire administration to allocate every possible resource to this cause and to reverse the tide of mass migration that has transformed once peaceful towns into scenes reminiscent of Third World dystopias. Our federal government will remain focused on the repatriation of aliens to their countries of origin and preventing the entry of anyone who threatens the domestic peace of the United States," he stated.

In support of immigration officials, Trump said, "To ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, the Patriots at the Pentagon, and the State Department, you have my steadfast backing. Now go forth and fulfill your mission!"

Point of View

It is crucial to recognize the ongoing tensions surrounding immigration policy in the United States. While the administration's focus on deportation efforts may resonate with some, it also raises ethical concerns and highlights the need for comprehensive immigration reform that balances security with compassion.
