US Army Veteran Detonates Cybertruck at Trump Hotel, Calls for Democratic Uprising

New York, Jan 4 (NationPress) The highly decorated US Army veteran who ignited an explosion with a Cybertruck, leading to his tragic death outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day, was reportedly overwhelmed by the stress of combat, according to officials. However, the situation became more complex with his public call for an uprising against Democrats shortly before President Joe Biden was set to vacate his position.

In a letter discovered on his cellphone, Matthew Alan Livelsberger urged, “Try peaceful means first, but be prepared to fight to remove the Dems (Democrats) from the federal government and military by any means necessary,” as revealed on Friday.

He advocated for unity around figures like Trump, Musk, and Kennedy, stating, “Rally around the [sic] Trump, Musk, Kennedy, and ride this wave to the highest hegemony for all Americans! We are second to no one.” Livelsberger expressed grave concerns about the nation's trajectory, claiming, “the US was headed for collapse.”

The contradictions in his remarks, as Democrats were exiting federal power and Trump was preparing to take office, may be attributed to his struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

FBI Special Agent Spencer Evans stated during a Las Vegas news conference on Friday, “It seems to be a tragic case of suicide involving a decorated combat veteran grappling with PTSD and other challenges.”

In the letter he left behind, Livelsberger asserted, “This was not a terrorist attack. It was a wake-up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives.”

Las Vegas Police Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren confirmed that two letters were found on his phone.

Livelsberger, an active-duty Green Beret and member of the elite Army Special Forces Command, expressed in one message, “Why did I personally do it now? I needed to cleanse my mind of the brothers I’ve lost and relieve myself of the burden of the lives I took.”

PTSD is a condition affecting those who have encountered severe violence or trauma, with haunting memories persisting.

His service included deployments in Afghanistan, the Republic of Congo, Ukraine, and Tajikistan, earning him at least five medals for valor and exceptional service. Stationed in Germany, he was visiting the US.

Livelsberger detonated the Cybertruck just hours after an Army veteran, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove a pickup truck adorned with an Islamic State flag into a crowd in New Orleans celebrating the New Year.

While the incident in New Orleans was clearly deemed a terrorist act due to Jabbar's actions documented on video, Livelsberger's motivations remain perplexing, with speculation regarding a potential connection between the two events due to their military backgrounds and the fact they rented vehicles from the same company.

As indicated in his letter, Livelsberger seemed to have intentionally minimized harm, utilizing fireworks and petrol canisters in the Cybertruck, which could absorb much of the blast's impact, aiming for a headline-grabbing display.

Fortunately, seven bystanders only sustained minor injuries.

In one letter on his phone, he proclaimed, “We are the United States of America, the best country people to ever exist! But right now we are terminally ill and headed towards collapse.”

He encouraged military personnel and veterans to mobilize towards Washington, D.C., stating, “Military and vets move on (Washington) DC starting now. Militias facilitate and augment this activity. Occupy every major road along federal buildings and the campus of federal buildings by the hundreds of thousands.”

Reports indicated he had a disagreement with his wife prior to traveling from Colorado, where he was on holiday, to Las Vegas.
