New Delhi, April 27 (NationPress) The shocking and brutal terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam has garnered global condemnation, alongside harsh criticism directed towards the attackers and their sponsors, whose despicable actions led to the tragic loss of 26 innocent lives. Nations across the globe, including the United States, France, Italy, and various Islamic countries, have expressed their unwavering support for India in its battle against terrorism while voicing their concerns regarding this disturbing and heart-wrenching incident in the beautiful meadows of Pahalgam.

The United States quickly and decisively condemned the attack, with over 100 lawmakers expressing their condolences for the innocent lives lost.

At least 75 members from the US House of Representatives and 25 Senators showed solidarity with the victims and their families, denouncing the attack in the strongest terms. High-ranking officials from the Trump administration, including the Secretary of State, Director of National Intelligence, and Attorney General, also condemned the horrific assault and demanded action against terrorism.

Many of them took to social media to offer their condolences and extend their support to India in combating the menace of terrorism.

The US Department of State stated, “We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Kashmir. Nothing can justify such a heinous act that kills tourists and civilians. Our thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. We continue to monitor the situation and call for the perpetrators to be held accountable.”

Mike Waltz, the National Security Advisor, described it as a ‘terrible tragedy’ and invited everyone to join him in praying for the victims and their families.

Tulsi Gabbard, Director of Intelligence, stated that the United States stands firmly with India as it seeks to hunt down the criminals behind this heinous act.

“We stand in solidarity with India following the horrific Islamist terrorist attack that targeted and killed 26 Hindus in Pahalgam. My prayers and deepest sympathies are with those who have lost a loved one, as well as with all the people of India.”

In a further message, she emphasized, “We are with you and support you as you pursue those responsible for this heinous attack.”

Attorney General Pamela Bondi stated that America stands with its dear friends in India and against terrorism in all its forms.

Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau expressed, “The US strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Kashmir and stands resolutely alongside India. Sending heartfelt condolences to all Indians, especially to those who have lost their loved ones in this heinous attack on tourists and civilians.”

“We extend our support to our great ally India in light of this recent brutal terrorist attack. India is a model ally that takes its own defense seriously. We stand with them during this dark hour,” wrote Under Secretary of Defense Elbridge Colby on social media.

Republican Ro Khanna remarked, “I strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where the gunman killed at least two dozen tourists in this beautiful sightseeing town. I stand with the people of India at this moment and extend my condolences and prayers to the victims' families.”

Republican Bill Huizenga commented, “As Chairman of the South and Central Asia Subcommittee, I condemn the shocking terrorist attack and offer my condolences to the victims who were killed and injured in Kashmir.”

Buddy Carter, a US lawmaker from Georgia, stated, “Terror has no place anywhere in the world, and we will always fight against it. The U.S. stands firmly with Prime Minister Modi and the Indian people.”

Lisa McClain, a lawmaker from Michigan, wrote on social media, “Devastating news out of Kashmir. We stand with our close friend and ally India against terrorism and condemn these heinous acts. Those responsible must be held accountable.”

Congressman Marc Veasey communicated that he and his team would provide all possible support to the families impacted.

“Horrified by the deadly terrorist attack in Kashmir that claimed over 20 innocent lives. The U.S. must stand with India against this evil. We will support families and our partners in the region,” he stated.

Congressman Jimmy Panetta condemned the senseless violence, asserting that the U.S. stands with the people of India and the families of the victims during this time.

Congressman Michael Baumgartner said, “I condemn this act of violence and reaffirm America's commitment to combating terrorism alongside our partners. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

“Any movement whose intent is the killing of unarmed civilians, whether religious or political, is evil,” asserted Congressman Rich McCormick.

Congressman Tom Barrett referred to the incident as intentional targeting of civilians, emphasizing the necessity to hold those accountable for their actions.

Congressman Brad Sherman termed it ‘the worst attack in the region’ in years.

Republican Brian Fitzpatrick stated that the U.S. and India remain united in tackling the scourge of terrorism.

“I pray for the victims, their families, and all those impacted by this senseless act of evil. We remain united in our determination to confront terrorism and defeat those who threaten peace and freedom. In unity and strength, we will always overcome,” he wrote on social media.

Adam Smith, a lawmaker from Washington, criticized the terrorists for their brutal attacks on civilians, asserting that the U.S. is rallying behind India in its fight against terror.

Congressman Michael Baumgartner reiterated, “I condemn this act of violence and reaffirm America's commitment to combating terrorism with our partners.”

Congressman Jared Moskowitz described the attack on tourists as simply horrifying.

Congressman Marc Veasey, a member of the India Caucus, stated, “This senseless violence is an act of pure evil, and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms. Terrorism in any form is unacceptable, and the United States must stand shoulder to shoulder with our partners in India as they confront these cowardly attacks.

“We will not allow extremists to sow fear, hatred, or division. We will continue to stand firmly for peace, justice, and security—for the people of India, for our Indian American neighbors, and for all who reject terrorism in all its forms,” she added.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi highlighted on social media that the U.S. is united against terrorism in all its forms to ensure that the perpetrators face justice.

Congressman Andy Barr remarked that the barbaric terrorist attack on tourists in Kashmir is a stark reminder that the threat of radical Islamic terrorism persists.

Congressman Tom Kean noted that these cowardly acts of violence remind us of the need for unity in our global efforts to eradicate terrorism in all its forms.

Republican Mikie Sherrill stressed the importance of remaining united in condemning this horrible crime and ensuring accountability for those responsible.

Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan called for the creation of a safer, more peaceful world for everyone.

Numerous lawmakers from the Upper House also unambiguously condemned the terror and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch stated that terrorism can never be tolerated and expressed hope that those responsible will be brought to justice swiftly.

Senator Markwayne Mullin joined the Trump administration in strongly condemning the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Senator Michael Bennet expressed that he stands in solidarity with friends in India and around the globe in condemning this senseless violence against civilians.

Many Democratic Senators also spoke out against the barbaric and brutal killings of tourists in Pahalgam.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner from Virginia stated, “The scourge of terrorism poses a threat to all who cherish peace and must be eradicated.”

Gary Peters, another Democratic Senator, asserted that the world must unite against this hateful violence and collaborate to promote peace and stability.

Senator Jon Ossoff from Georgia expressed, “I grieve alongside Georgia’s Indian-American community and condemn this cowardly act of terrorism in the strongest terms.”

Meanwhile, the crackdown on suspected overground workers continues in the valley. Security forces demolished the residences of three more active terrorists on Sunday, reportedly in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora, Pulwama, and Shopian districts. This was part of the ongoing crackdown on the terror ecosystem.
