The minor will be taken to a Juvenile Justice Court later today, as confirmed by an official from the East Midnapore District Police.
Additionally, the accused reportedly threatened the victim, warning her not to disclose the crime to anyone, including her parents.
As per police reports, the young girl visited the boy's home on the morning of October 22. The victim's parents lodged a complaint stating that the accused took advantage of the absence of other family members to commit the act.
Initially, the victim refrained from discussing the incident with her parents. However, after experiencing physical discomfort, she finally revealed the details to them on Wednesday.
On Thursday morning, her parents approached the accused's family to recount the incident, but the accused’s parents denied the allegations and even assaulted the victim’s parents.
Subsequently, the victim’s family filed an official complaint at the Kolaghat Police Station. Following the investigation, the police registered a case and arrested the minor, who now faces charges under specific provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
“At first, my daughter said nothing. But later, feeling pain in her abdomen, she told us everything. We demand the harshest punishment for the perpetrator,” stated the victim’s mother.
