Chandigarh, March 6 (NationPress) BJP National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated on Thursday that those responsible for the 1984 Sikh genocide are now facing justice after enduring four long decades of suffering by the Sikh community.
"The formation of an SIT by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 has finally led to justice for the victims," he remarked.
Sirsa highlighted that the main perpetrator, Sajjan Kumar, has been convicted in a second case, receiving a life sentence after four decades.
“It was Rajiv Gandhi who masterminded the violence and subsequently rewarded those who executed his malicious orders with prestigious political positions,” he added.
Delhi Minister Sirsa pointed out that the high-profile positions held by key accused such as Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler, H.K.L. Bhagat, Dharam Shastri, and Lalit Maken exemplify how the Congress party has sheltered wrongdoers.
He further noted that despite the Congress-led Union Government's CBI team clearing him, Tytler has faced consequences for his actions.
“The SIT has now submitted a charge sheet and is framing charges. The victims of the 1984 riots can feel confident that their cases are being handled appropriately. Without PM Modi's establishment of the SIT, offenders would have continued to evade justice,” he emphasized.
Sirsa reported that in Kanpur, after 33 years, 80 individuals implicated in crimes against Sikhs are now being held accountable.
“These offenders never imagined the law would catch up with them. Now, cases have been registered, arrests made, and witnesses are testifying in court, bringing justice to light,” he stated.
He criticized Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party for exploiting the people of Punjab, claiming that after losing their foothold in Delhi, they have redirected their focus to Punjab.
According to him, the AAP is draining Punjab's resources to fuel its quest for power and wealth.
Sirsa suggested that Kejriwal would soon dismiss Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and assume control in Punjab.
He remarked that for the past three years, the AAP has neglected crucial issues such as drugs, corruption, and law enforcement in Punjab.
“Now, they are attempting to portray themselves as having emerged from a period of inactivity,” said Sirsa.
He criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for declaring that Rs 1.81 lakh has been seized as drug money.
“The reality in Punjab is so dire that smugglers are in control. Countless individuals have been deceived by immigration agents promising opportunities abroad, while the AAP government has merely stood by, failing to act on any front,” he stated.
To mask its shortcomings, Kejriwal is being portrayed as the savior of Punjab. “He and his associates are damaging the economy of debt-ridden Punjab,” concluded the Delhi Minister.
