New Delhi, Sep 12 (NationPress) A remarkable 35,470 teams have signed up for the Indian Navy's prestigious national quiz competition, 'THINQ 2025', with the ultimate winner to be announced on November 14, according to a statement from a Defence Ministry official.
The semi-finals and finals of this quiz will take place at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala, on November 13 and 14, as stated by the official.
Aimed at students in Classes 10 to 12, this quiz intends to intellectually stimulate young minds while providing a unique perspective on the life, customs, and fundamental values of the Indian Navy.
The competition's journey started with registrations on June 10, showcasing significant enthusiasm among students and educational institutions nationwide eager to participate in this esteemed event, according to the statement.
Currently, the elimination rounds are in progress, where schools are vying for a chance to reach the semi-finals. Upon completion of these rounds, the 16 top-performing teams will move on to the semi-finals and finals.
Earlier this week, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh engaged with students during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Navy Children School (NCS), Delhi, encouraging them to foster a profound sense of national pride in all their endeavors.
In his address, the Defence Minister motivated the students to dream purposefully and pursue their aspirations with sincerity.
He urged them to remain humble yet resilient, fulfilling their responsibilities with integrity and respect.
Highlighting the importance of character development during formative years, the Defence Minister praised the role of NCS in shaping students' values and ambitions through discipline, service, and patriotism.
He recognized the critical role of schools under the Ministry of Defence in nation-building, stressing that these institutions serve not only as learning centers but also as platforms that instill the next generation with leadership, integrity, and responsibility.
During the event, a brief overview of the NCS’s vision and accomplishments was presented to the Defence Ministry, with students sharing insights on how the school significantly contributes to their holistic development.
The students also presented handmade tokens of respect to the Raksha Mantri, along with a Coffee Table Book and Crest.
