This initiative, organized by the Department of Youth Affairs, aims to provide the winners of the National Flag Quiz with a deeper insight into the border regions, cultivate respect for the Armed Forces, and instill a sense of pride, responsibility, and patriotic spirit among the youth, according to the official.
Each participant will carry a handwritten letter addressed to the Army, articulating their vision for Viksit Bharat and recognizing the vital role of the Armed Forces in creating a secure and developed India.
In conjunction with the Independence Day celebrations, the National Flag Quiz was conducted on the MY Bharat platform from August 1-15, 2025, attracting participation from over 1.1 lakh young people.
The quiz winners are now set to visit the Siachen Base Camp from September 28-30, 2025, where they will engage with the Indian Armed Forces.
During their stay at Army facilities, the youth will receive briefings from the Indian Army regarding the operational, geographical, and ecological challenges of serving in Siachen. They will tour training areas, pay respects at the war memorial, and meet soldiers who protect India’s borders under extreme conditions, as per the official statement.
The experience will also include exposure to the cultural heritage of Leh and an introduction to local entrepreneurship and business activities.
The Department of Youth Affairs emphasized that this initiative transcends a mere educational trip.
By connecting the quiz to Siachen, MY Bharat is fostering a generation of young citizens dedicated to national service and poised to guide India toward a promising future, said the official.
