Adani Group Unveils Rs 60,000 Crore Investment Strategy to Boost Power Generation in Chhattisgarh

New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) The Adani Group has unveiled a significant investment plan of Rs 60,000 crore to augment the group’s power generation facilities located in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister's Office shared the details of the meeting and investment plan on X this past Sunday, also including photographs from the session.
In a discussion with the Honourable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, disclosed a proposed investment of ₹60,000 crore to enhance the power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, as per the CMO's announcement.
This expansion is projected to increase Chhattisgarh's overall power generation capacity by an impressive 6,120 MW.
Furthermore, the Adani Group Chairman pledged Rs 5,000 crore for the growth and expansion of cement plants within the state.
The post on X also mentioned that following the advice of Chief Minister Sai, Gautam Adani assured a financial boost of Rs 10,000 crore over the next four years to promote initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism through the Adani Group's CSR efforts and beyond.
The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration in manufacturing defence-related equipment and the establishment of data centers and a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh.
This major investment is anticipated to stimulate economic growth, generate job opportunities, and contribute to the comprehensive development of the state.
Adani Power Limited (APL), a key entity of the diverse Adani Group, stands as the largest private thermal power producer in India. It boasts a power generation capacity of 15,250 MW, incorporating thermal power plants across states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, along with a 40 MW solar power project in Gujarat.
