Ayodhya, April 2 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, made a significant visit to Ayodhya alongside his wife, Dr. Priti Adani, their son Karan Adani, and daughter-in-law Paridhi Adani. The family offered prayers at the Shri Ram Temple, which is revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram, symbolizing faith, devotion, and the continuity of Indian civilization.

Adani expressed that his visit, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti, was profoundly personal and intertwined with a broader narrative about the nation.

He described the darshan as a moment filled with “extreme emotion and pride,” emphasizing that the shrine is not merely a religious site but a representation of India’s cultural unity, resilience, and self-assurance. He invoked the principles of Lord Ram—integrity, duty, and service—as guiding lights for the nation’s future.

This visit seamlessly transitioned from spiritual reflection to an embodiment of India’s educational traditions at Shri Nishulk Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, located just a short distance from the temple.

Founded in 1935 by Swami Tyaganand Ji, this institution is rooted in the Arya Samaj's principles, promoting Vedic education, social progress, and accessible learning. It operates under the traditional gurukul model, where students reside and learn under the guidance of their mentors.

During his visit, Gautam Adani interacted with students and faculty, witnessing a nurturing environment where discipline, curiosity, and values converge to preserve and propagate India’s rich knowledge systems.

“When education is grounded in values, it not only molds individuals but also shapes the destiny of a nation. We bear the responsibility of sustaining these traditions while embracing the opportunities of the future,” he remarked. He highlighted the urgency of safeguarding India’s educational frameworks even as the country advances into an AI-driven era. Adani confirmed that the Adani Foundation would bolster the gurukul ecosystem by integrating traditional teachings with modern technology through an AI-enhanced laboratory.

The gurukul, with approximately 200 students, provides free education, ensuring that learning remains accessible and inclusive. The campus features a gaushala, a traditional cow shelter, symbolizing the blend of cultural, ecological, and rural practices in the educational setting. The institution boasts a rich legacy, having welcomed prominent figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in its early days.

As students recited Sanskrit shlokas in harmony, their voices resonated across the campus, embodying both rigor and reverence. Gautam Adani, seated amongst them, attentively engaged with faculty and observed the rhythm of a learning system that extends beyond academic walls into everyday life.

For Adani, these principles manifest in the concept of seva, a philosophy he articulates as “Seva Hi Sadhana Hai,” where service is a sustained commitment to society, anchored in humility and purpose.

This visit is a continuation of Gautam Adani’s engagement with India's cultural heritage, following his attendance at significant events like the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri last year, which he described as moments of national fulfillment. He has also supported initiatives that promote the study of Indology, fostering deeper connections with India’s history, languages, and cultural legacy.
