The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, has announced that the admission window for its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) programmes will close on 10 August 2026. Online application forms are currently live on the university's official website, and no submissions will be accepted after the deadline.

Programmes Open for Admission

Admissions are available across a wide range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, with selection for most courses based on merit in the qualifying examination. Postgraduate offerings include M.A. in Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Human Resource Management, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, and Urdu, as well as M.Com. Undergraduate options include B.A. (General), B.Com., and BBA.

Additionally, diploma and certificate courses are on offer, including the Postgraduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, Advanced Diploma in Educational Media Production, Advanced Diploma in Mass Media, Certificate in Computer Hardware and Network Technology, and Certificate in Information Technology, among others.

New Programmes Introduced This Year

The CDOE, JMI has launched two new academic programmes for the current cycle: Bachelor of Science (Biosciences) and MBA (Online Mode). Admission to both will be determined by marks secured in the last qualifying examination combined with an interview, according to an official statement.

Entrance Test for MBA and B.Ed.

Admission to the MBA (ODL) and B.Ed. programmes follows a different pathway — selection is based on performance in an entrance test scheduled for 22 August 2026. The test will be conducted within the Jamia Millia Islamia campus, with the specific examination centre communicated to candidates via their admit cards.

Document Verification and Fee Submission

Professor Aslam Khan, Director of CDOE, emphasised that the centre is committed to offering programmes aligned with the evolving demands of higher education and the job market. Candidates shortlisted for admission will be notified via their registered email addresses regarding the document verification schedule. Physical document verification and fee submission are set to be conducted between 31 August and 10 September 2026.

Applicants are advised to review the admission guidelines thoroughly and confirm eligibility before submitting their forms. With the deadline firm at 10 August, prospective students have a narrow window to complete their applications.
