New Delhi, April 4 (NationPress) The esteemed Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), located in Delhi, has established April 10 as the final date for submitting applications for various UG and PG courses, including B. Tech and B. Arch, as confirmed by an official on Friday.

Admissions will be held for a total of 25 programs (comprising 09 UG, 05 PG, 08 diploma courses, and 03 advanced diploma courses) based on the CUET Merit Score.

To facilitate candidates, minimize travel to Delhi, and enhance student diversity, JMI will conduct entrance examinations for 29 programs across nine cities in the country, including New Delhi.

The Public Relations Office of the university stated that with the application deadline approaching in just a week, interested candidates should visit the university portal at: admission.jmi.ac.in for online applications for the upcoming academic session.

Vice Chancellor Mazhar Asif unveiled a 145-page University Prospectus on March 6 and announced the commencement of admissions for the 2025-26 academic session.

This academic year, JMI has launched 14 new courses designed to promote academic excellence and skill enhancement.

New offerings include: Bachelor of Design (B. Des) - 4 years; B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science (4 years); Certificate (Design and Innovation) Self Financed Evening; Certificate (Textile Design) Self Financed Evening; P.G. Diploma in Fire Safety, Lifts and Plumbing Services (Self-Financed); Certificate (Graphic Art) (Print Making) Self Financed Evening; M.F.A.(Curatorial Practices) Self Financed; M.F.A. (Art Management) Self Financed; M.F.A. (Conceptual Art Practice) Self Financed; M.F.A (Graphic Art) (Print Making) Self Financed; Certificate (Art & Aesthetics) Self Financed, Evening; Certificate (Creative Photography) Self Financed Evening; Certificate (Calligraphy) Self Financed Evening and Certificate (Art Appreciation & Art Writing) Self Financed, Evening.

To attract a larger number of foreign students and NRI wards, JMI has reduced fees for applicants from SAARC countries, in addition to cutting fees for foreign nationals/NRI wards for Diploma courses under the University Polytechnic.

As stated, two seats in the BDS program (which accepts students via NEET) are reserved for foreign students.

Foreign nationals applying for Ph.D. programs at JMI can now participate in admission interviews online, addressing the challenges of obtaining visas and traveling to India for the entrance interview.

Other significant aspects of the admission process for the 2025-26 academic year include an increase in programs admitting students through CUET and a focus on NEP-oriented programs.
