New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially unveiled its prospectus for the 2026-27 Academic Session, introducing 30 new academic programmes without any increase in course fees, as confirmed by an official source.
The 150-page prospectus, presented by Vice Chancellor Mazhar Asif, includes extensive admission guidelines for undergraduate, postgraduate, advanced diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, and Diploma courses.
Moreover, it contains vital details such as eligibility requirements, application procedures, entrance exams, admit cards, syllabi, examination centres, course fee structures, and estimated timelines for result announcements.
The Controller of Examinations highlighted that JMI's introduction of these 30 new programmes significantly enhances its educational offerings.
There will be no increase in course fees for the 2026-27 session. In adherence to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Multiple Entry Mode for Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUP) will also begin in this academic year, providing students with greater flexibility, as stated.
To facilitate easier access for candidates nationwide, JMI has broadened its entrance test centre network, now encompassing the entire country with the addition of three new centres: Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj, raising the total to 11.
The existing centres include locations such as Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut, and Bhopal.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Asif commended the Prospectus Committee and the Controller of Examinations for their timely work on the prospectus, stating, “This year marks the launch of 30 new programmes, meticulously developed in accordance with NEP 2020 guidelines, along with the initiation of admissions under FYUP. JMI takes pride in maintaining current fee structures, a significant achievement. We have also expanded our test centres to 11, ensuring that students from all regions of India can pursue their studies at JMI.”
