Shivpuri, December 21 (NationPress) The residents of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh are experiencing a decrease in their healthcare costs due to the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), a key initiative from the central government.
The Jan Aushadhi Kendras that have been set up under the PMBJP scheme offer high-quality medications at prices that are 50-90 percent lower than those found at branded pharmacies, ensuring that affordability does not come at the expense of quality.
One such Jan Aushadhi Kendra, situated near Gurudwara Chowk in Shivpuri, has been providing support to numerous patients on a daily basis, establishing itself as a center for affordable healthcare solutions and bringing joy to many residents.
Harsh Sharma, the operator of the Kendra, expressed his appreciation for the government, stating, "PM Modi has made it possible for the common man to access affordable medicines. These centers provide medicines at a 50-90 percent discount, which is a significant relief for the public," he conveyed to IANS.
Sharma highlighted the necessity for additional centers and called on government doctors to recommend medicines available at Jan Aushadhi Kendras to fully leverage the benefits of the scheme.
In a conversation with IANS, beneficiary Radha Vallabh Sharma expressed his gratitude, saying, "This scheme is a blessing for those who previously struggled to afford expensive medications. It has made healthcare accessible to everyone."
Another beneficiary, Divyanshu Verma, shared similar views, stating, "This initiative is a lifeline for the less fortunate. The medications here are 70-80 percent cheaper than market prices," he remarked.
Jitu Soni, a local resident, commended the initiative as "commendable," noting its profound impact on the lives of the underprivileged. He expressed hopes for the establishment of more centers in Shivpuri, which currently houses three operational Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
The affordable medication initiative has fostered a sense of relief and hope among residents, many of whom have expressed their gratitude towards the Prime Minister for this transformative scheme that tackles one of the most critical issues—affordable healthcare.
