New Delhi, March 5 (NationPress) The ongoing conflict between Israel, the US, and Iran has escalated significantly over the past week. This turmoil began with the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, prompting Iran to retaliate against US and Israeli interests across various regions of West Asia.

In light of the situation, Indian intelligence agencies have detected alarming discussions on multiple platforms aimed at radicalizing the youth in India. Reports indicate a new push for a radicalization campaign, particularly in states like Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kerala.

An official from the Intelligence Bureau revealed that radical groups are utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create and disseminate propaganda videos in various languages.

For example, in Kerala, these videos are produced in Malayalam to effectively reach the youth in that region. Similarly, videos targeting audiences in Kashmir are in Kashmiri, while those aimed at Uttar Pradesh are in Hindi, the official stated.

Beyond these languages, AI-generated content is also being developed in Urdu and other Indian dialects, suggesting a strategy to broaden their influence by exploiting the ongoing war.

Importantly, the radicalization efforts are not limited to Shia Muslims; they also encompass Sunni communities. The objective is to incite the youth and encourage violent actions within India, as per the official's insights.

Following Khamenei's death, the Indian government issued a warning that radical factions might try to infiltrate prayer gatherings and solidarity events to further their agenda of youth radicalization.

Mourning processions have already been organized by Shia communities in cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Delhi, with expectations of more events scheduled in the near future. These gatherings are seen as potential targets for radical elements, according to officials.

In addition to the AI-produced videos, there is heightened surveillance on influencers who manage religious and cultural channels online. These individuals may subtly introduce radical messages to incite Indian youth. Topics such as Shia genocide and attacks on the Umma could be used as tools for radicalization, as intelligence agencies have discovered.

Another official noted that while the Islamic State opposes Shia Muslims, it is likely to exploit the current circumstances to advance its agenda. Both the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda have a history of leveraging global issues to promote their interpretation of Islam, the official explained.

These groups aim to frame the US and Israel as adversaries of Islam, using this narrative to radicalize Indian youth, according to intelligence reports.

Furthermore, it has come to light that platforms like X, WhatsApp, and Telegram are being employed to broadcast the agendas of radical factions in India. Officials have observed that the messaging is currently subtle, indicating an initial phase of their strategy. As the conflict escalates, it is anticipated that the tone will become more aggressive, with open calls for violence.

Moreover, intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the encrypted communication that is being exchanged via these messaging services. There is also scrutiny of financial transactions related to these activities, as noted by an official.

Elements backed by the ISI are also believed to be involved in this scheme. The ISI's primary goal appears to be inflicting harm on India through various means, supporting factions that leverage the Iran conflict to incite extremism domestically. Their strategy seems to focus on nurturing homegrown radicalism, with the ultimate aim of encouraging self-radicalized individuals to execute lone-wolf attacks within India.

This situation represents a long-term strategy, with the intention of building a substantial network of individuals who can be mobilized once the opportunity arises, utilizing the Iran conflict as their catalyst.
