New Delhi, Sep 16 (NationPress) On the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, BJP national spokesperson Ajay Alok recounted a personal story from his initial days as a physician, reminiscing about his first encounter with Modi in 1998. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s core principle of “serving the nation” has remained steadfast for over twenty years.
In a video shared on X under the campaign tagline ‘My Modi Story’, Alok noted that he had just embarked on his medical career at Delhi’s Batra Hospital when he attended an event at FICCI concerning Sonia Gandhi’s nationality.
During this event, Modi was present, serving as the BJP’s national general secretary at that time.
“That was the first moment I met Modi ji. He inquired if I had an interest in politics. I affirmed but mentioned that I would pursue politics later, once I was well-established in my profession,” Alok recounted.
Modi then posed another question: why did he want to enter politics?
“I replied that my goal was to serve the people of India, to contribute to my country and my home state, Bihar,” he explained.
Modi’s reply left a profound impact.
“He conveyed that serving the nation or Bihar has no time constraints. It is an ongoing commitment. That idea resonated with me deeply—that serving the country should not be bound by time,” Alok noted.
Reflecting on the journey since that moment, Alok remarked that Modi ascended to become Gujarat’s chief minister three times and subsequently the Prime Minister three times.
“In the past 25 years, his motto has remained unchanged—‘nation first, service always.’ He conveys this message not only through his words but through his actions,” he stated.
Prime Minister Modi will celebrate his 75th birthday on September 17, with the BJP organizing a series of events nationwide to commemorate the occasion.
