Mumbai, Sep 11 (NationPress) In light of the ongoing protests concerning Maratha and OBC reservations in Maharashtra, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar asserted on Thursday that every initiative launched by the Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation should effectively reach the rightful and deserving individuals within the community.
He called for these initiatives to be implemented in a transparent and results-driven manner, ensuring that the greatest number of beneficiaries can take advantage of the available benefits.
Additionally, he assessed the operations of the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training, and Human Development Institute (SARTHI).
The Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation facilitates a self-employment scheme for Maratha youth by offering guidance, training, and financial assistance.
Conversely, SARTHI aims to enhance the social, economic, and educational progress of the Maratha, Kunbi, and associated communities through research, skill development, capacity enhancement, and support for students, entrepreneurs, farmers, and women to promote self-employment and overall improvement.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawar emphasized that there should be no obstacles in the distribution of scheme benefits, and the selection of authentic beneficiaries must be meticulously carried out to ensure timely financial support.
He pointed out that the programs of the Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation motivate youth towards business, industry, and entrepreneurship, which in turn generates increased self-employment opportunities and stimulates economic growth within the state.
Pawar urged the administration to guarantee observable outcomes at the community level through effective execution.
"The main goal of the Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation is to furnish self-employment opportunities for educated, unemployed youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To achieve this, initiatives like the Individual Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme, Group Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme, and Group Project Loan Scheme are implemented. These programs must be executed efficiently and transparently, with accurate information disseminated to those in need," Deputy CM Pawar stated.
He directed that extensive publicity of these initiatives should be conducted to maximize beneficiary outreach.
During the meeting, he also evaluated the efforts of SARTHI, which include student skill development, scholarships, competitive exam preparation, research initiatives, Swadhar Yojana, overseas scholarships, and hostel facilities.
Pawar underscored that skill development and training should be prioritized for students' bright futures and assured that there would be no shortage of funds for educational growth and development.
