Mumbai, Dec 21 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Ajit Pawar, stated on Sunday that the significant victory of his party in the nagar parishad and nagar panchayat elections is a clear indication of the public's support for the NCP's development-focused and secular ideology.
"Voters have chosen us not just based on promises, but for our consistent efforts and effective leadership. The initiatives we have implemented for the comprehensive advancement of the state, particularly in enhancing infrastructure in rural and semi-urban regions, have echoed positively with the electorate. This victory belongs to Mahayuti. In every joint effort, we have gained voter trust, and even where friendly competitions occurred, democratic principles were upheld. We will carry this same strength and unity into the approaching municipal corporation elections. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the newly elected Presidents and Corporators throughout the state," stated Deputy Chief Minister Pawar.
He further emphasized that the success of the Mahayuti-led Maharashtra government stems from the impactful decisions made over the past year aimed at holistic development and the rapid execution of various schemes and projects.
Moreover, he acknowledged the strong backing received from the Central government.
"Enhancing urban areas through municipal bodies, addressing water challenges, and prioritizing road and healthcare services will remain our primary focus in the future," he added.
Expressing appreciation, Deputy CM Pawar thanked the citizens of Maharashtra on behalf of the NCP for providing the Mahayuti a definitive mandate by voting for the state’s progression.
He reiterated that the NCP will persist in its commitment to the ideology of Shiv-Shahu-Phule-Ambedkar and will uphold the legacy of progressive and cultured politics established by the late Yashwantrao Chavan, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
"This victory amplifies the responsibilities of both Mahayuti and the NCP. All elected leaders must now approach their roles with renewed dedication and commitment," he concluded.
