Lucknow, Aug 5 (NationPress) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav launched a vehement critique against the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday, asserting that even the British Empire never filed FIRs against individuals providing education. He emphasized that this government seems to believe that police intervention can stifle the PDA Pathshala initiative.
During a press conference commemorating the birth anniversary of socialist figure Janeshwar Mishra, Akhilesh reaffirmed his party's dedication to the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) Pathshala.
"The police cannot hinder us. The Samajwadis have made a promise—until the government assigns teachers and principals to schools, the PDA Pathshala and tutoring sessions will persist," he declared.
The SP leader further criticized the state administration regarding the school merger policy, urging Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to personally visit schools to evaluate their conditions. He reminded that during the SP's governance, Abhinav-Sanskriti schools were established to enhance educational quality.
"The government has itself acknowledged the closure of numerous schools and the merging of others. Until new educators are hired, Samajwadi Party workers will continue instructing students," stated Akhilesh Yadav.
On other matters, he voiced his concerns regarding the flood victims in Prayagraj, demanding prompt assistance for them. He accused the BJP of encroaching upon water bodies and highlighted discrepancies in land registrations in Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Lucknow.
“Let the BJP first clarify how much land was owned by India previously and what the current status is. The day they respond, we will also display the tricolor,” he remarked, subtly critiquing the party's nationalism narrative.
Akhilesh emphasized that challenges such as unemployment and inflation can only be tackled through socialist principles. "Changing appearances does not effect change. It does not provide any solutions," he commented.
He also accused the Election Commission of overlooking electoral misconduct. "It was captured on camera that police officials were swaying voters during the elections, yet the Commission took no action. We have not forgotten," he asserted.
In reference to alleged irregularities during the Gosaiganj municipality elections, Akhilesh claimed that fake Aadhaar and voter ID machines were utilized. "The BJP possesses a mechanism to fabricate fake Aadhaar cards," he alleged.
