Lucknow, April 5 (NationPress) The President of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, honored Ananya Yadav, an eight-year-old girl, who was captured on camera desperately holding her school bag while fleeing as her house was being torn down during an anti-encroachment operation in Ambedkar Nagar, UP.

A viral video of the incident garnered significant attention and empathy from the public.

During his visit, Akhilesh Yadav criticized the ruling BJP government, asserting that their much-promoted "80-20" slogan is no longer effective.

"You won’t find such rampant corruption in any other administration, where an IAS officer and his broker are implicated in a scandal. Reports suggest he was not managing just one individual but multiple. This situation transcends mere corruption; it revealed a deeper truth," he shared with reporters.

He stated that the actual demographics have shifted: "This is no longer about 80-20. It has transformed into 90-10. Half of the populace is enduring hardships under this regime. When you factor in the PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak), the equation alters to 90-10."

Akhilesh Yadav also criticized the government’s approach to wheat procurement, stating: "Is the government even procuring wheat? They’ve outsourced everything to private entities. The youth are unemployed, and the government has capitulated to market dynamics. They should take a hint from the US President, who is imposing tariffs to protect local businesses. Shouldn’t we do the same with China to defend our economy?"

He expressed concerns regarding the Maha Kumbh Mela, stating: "No one is addressing the devotees who have died or gone missing. There are allegations that black money is being utilized to appease families. After failing in all areas, this government is resorting to communal politics."

In response to the vandalism at the home of MP Ramji Lal Suman, Akhilesh Yadav mentioned that it was a delicate issue. "That incident has been removed from the Parliament records. I’ve previously stated that history should not be rewritten. It encompasses both positive and negative aspects. Yet, BJP leaders are spending millions to tarnish our image on social media. You’ve witnessed the Waqf Board situation; they're disseminating propaganda against SP and Congress out of fear of the PDA."

He accused the BJP of being the "largest land mafia", referencing incidents in Gorakhpur and Ayodhya.

He announced a statewide initiative, stating that from April 8 to 14, the SP will conduct 'Swabhimaan-Swaman Samaroh' events to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti. These events will be held across all SP offices and the homes of public representatives, organized under the joint banner of the Samajwadi Babasaheb Ambedkar Vahini and the Samajwadi Scheduled Caste Cell.
