Akhil Gogoi noted that while Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has not reached out to him directly yet, senior Congress figure and former president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Ripun Bora, has been in contact.

He also indicated that the president of the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP), Lurinjyoti Gogoi, who is affiliated with Congress in Assam, has maintained frequent communication with him concerning the alliance.
Akhil Gogoi remarked that Lurinjyoti Gogoi has assured him that Raijor Dal will not be marginalized in any opposition formation. "Lurinjyoti Gogoi has made it clear that an alliance cannot proceed without Raijor Dal," he emphasized, reiterating the party's demand for respect, political representation, and issue-driven cooperation within any proposed coalition.
