New Delhi, Oct 16 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the National Security Guard (NSG) on their Raising Day this Thursday.
In a post shared on the X platform, HM Shah stated, “Warm greetings to the NSG personnel on their Raising Day. They exemplify a gold standard in combat excellence by safeguarding our nation with remarkable bravery and sacrifice. I pay tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.”
His post featured a photo gallery showcasing the NSG's elite “Black Cats” commandos engaged in various operations both on land and at sea.
During an event in Manesar on Tuesday to commemorate the elite force's 41st Raising Day, the Home Minister hailed the NSG as the nation’s “strongest defense against terrorism and organized crime.”
He paid tribute to the security personnel who sacrificed their lives, affirming, “We honor those who laid down their lives to ensure the safety of our nation; I salute them on behalf of all citizens.”
The Home Minister recognized the NSG’s vital role since its inception in 1984, emphasizing its decisive actions in pivotal operations such as the Akshardham temple attack, the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and numerous hostage rescue missions. He reiterated its position as India’s premier counter-terrorism force.
The Union Minister announced the establishment of a new NSG hub in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant expansion.
This new hub will increase the NSG’s presence to seven major locations across the nation, including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Jammu, ensuring rapid response capabilities.
