New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) - Emphasizing the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its resolute approach towards combating terrorism, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a digital platform aimed at precise analysis of bomb explosion occurrences. He also revealed plans for establishing a new NSG regional hub in Ayodhya, alongside six additional centers.

Referring to the newly launched National IED Data Management System (NIDMS) of the National Security Guard as a cutting-edge defense mechanism against terrorism, HM Shah stated that the digital platform would be invaluable for probing into terrorist activities, discerning explosion patterns, and devising effective counter-strategies.

“The NIDMS will evolve into a comprehensive resource for detailed analyses of bomb explosion patterns, operational methods, and types of explosives utilized,” asserted the Home Minister during the video conference inauguration.

He highlighted that the NIDMS would act as a unified access point for data dispersed across various case files, benefiting investigative bodies and anti-terror units.

Leveraging AI, NIDMS is poised to integrate with other data streams to fortify the security framework across the nation, he noted.

According to Shah, the 'One Nation, One Data Repository' initiative will facilitate access to fragmented data across departments, transforming it into a national asset available to every police unit.

He reiterated that the NIDMS is crucial for probing terrorist activities, analyzing explosion trends, and formulating effective countermeasures.

HM Shah emphasized that the NSG stands as a formidable cornerstone of national security. Thanks to the bravery, exceptional skills, and unwavering commitment of NSG personnel, citizens can rest easy.

He pointed out that whether it is prompt and precise responses to attacks, maintaining readiness for anti-hijack operations, conducting bomb disposal missions, or tackling various challenges, the NSG has consistently delivered exceptional performance, achieving successful outcomes.

The Home Minister praised the NSG as a world-class, error-free force of India.

Since its establishment in 1984, the NSG has continuously adapted to the evolving security landscape.

The regional hubs of the NSG will now function from various locations nationwide — Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, along with the new hub in Ayodhya, significantly reducing response times.

Since its inception, the NSG has meticulously analyzed terrorist incidents globally, ensuring preparedness for any situation.

The Home Minister elaborated on the NSG's responsibilities, including counter-terrorism operations, anti-hijack missions, advanced bomb disposal systems, and now the establishment of a data-sharing platform for all agencies. He noted the numerous honors awarded to NSG officers and commandos, including three Ashok Chakras, two Kirti Chakras, three Shaurya Chakras, 10 Police Medals, and 44 Sena Medals for their bravery.

HM Shah indicated that special action units in Delhi have been designated as counter-terrorism and anti-hijacking groups, ensuring the NSG is always prepared, benefiting the nation continuously.
