Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Others Honor Arun Jaitley on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) Esteemed political figures from various parts of the country gathered to pay their respects to the late former Union Minister Arun Jaitley on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his significant contributions to the nation.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reflected on Jaitley’s role as a pivotal architect of India's policies.

“Remembering Arun Jaitley Ji on his Jayanti. As a specialist in legal and policy matters, Arun Jaitley Ji was instrumental in the effective execution of the government's vision, and as a remarkable orator, he conveyed it adeptly to the masses both within and outside the Parliament. His legacy will continue to motivate contemporary policymakers positively,” HM Shah expressed in a post on X on Saturday.

BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda also shared his tribute. “I honor and pay my respects to senior BJP leader, former Finance Minister of the nation, and Padma Vibhushan Shri Arun Jaitley Ji on his birth anniversary. Your strategic insight, humility, and logical approach influenced many. The contributions you made towards nation-building are indelible,” Nadda posted on X.

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju expressed admiration for Jaitley’s intellect and influence.

“Today, I honor Arun Jaitley Ji on his Jayanti—a leader whose poise, intellect, and dedication set standards for public service. His knack for simplifying complexities and connecting with the populace made a significant impact. His insights and contributions remain a guiding light for us all,” Rijiju noted on X.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid his respects, highlighting Jaitley’s role in fortifying India.

“Respectful tribute to former Union Finance Minister, Padma Vibhushan Arun Jaitley Ji, on his birth anniversary. His efforts towards building a 'Self-reliant India - Strong India' are unforgettable and serve as an inspiration,” he remarked.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma remembered Jaitley for his keen legal insight and policy reforms. “Honoring former Finance Minister and one of the most prominent leaders of our party, Shraddheya Arun Jaitley Ji, on his Jayanti. His sharp legal prowess and exceptional oratory enriched parliamentary procedures and facilitated vital reforms like GST,” Sarma said.

Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur also paid homage. “Respectful greetings on the birth anniversary of senior BJP leader, former Finance Minister, and Padma Vibhushan awardee Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. His wisdom, understanding, and policy decisions greatly aided nation-building. His public life—characterized by restraint, humility, and noble ideals—will always guide us,” Thakur wrote.

Arun Jaitley, a revered figure in Indian politics, continues to inspire leaders from across the political spectrum due to his contributions to governance, legal reforms, and nation-building.

Jaitley ascended to the position of Finance Minister of India in 2014 when the BJP-led government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took office. He was pivotal in shaping economic policies and implementing critical economic reforms throughout his tenure.

He was renowned for his articulate communication abilities and played a crucial role in elucidating the government's policies. He passed away in August 2019 following a brief illness.
