Bhopal, Aug 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, along with numerous BJP leaders and Ministers, extended their congratulations to the esteemed party figure, Amit Shah, for achieving the remarkable distinction of being the longest-serving Union Home Minister in India's history.
In a heartfelt message shared on his official social media platform X, the Chief Minister stated, "Warmest congratulations to our mentor (Amit Shah) for reaching this historic milestone as India's Home Minister for the longest duration."
Chief Minister Yadav, who has often been commended by Union Minister Shah on various occasions, expressed his appreciation for Shah's bold and decisive actions, including the commitment to eradicate Maoism from Madhya Pradesh by 2026.
"Under your (Amit Shah's) resolute leadership, India has made unprecedented strides toward becoming a safe, structured, and empowered nation by delivering significant blows to Naxalism, terrorism, and separatism," he wrote on X.
Senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister, Kailash Vijayvargiya, who previously served as the party's National General Secretary and was in charge of West Bengal when Shah was the BJP President, hailed him as the "architect of the BJP" and a committed leader for national policy.
"A source of inspiration for countless Bharatiya Janata Party workers, the architect of the organization, and a steadfast leader for national policy, (Amit Shah) has now become the longest-serving Union Home Minister in India's history," Vijayvargiya expressed on X.
He further emphasized that for more than 2,258 days, Home Minister Shah has been relentlessly dedicated to serving India with complex devotion, unwavering loyalty, and a determination for the nation's welfare.
Vijayvargiya pointed out the historic decisions made by the Centre following Amit Shah's appointment as Union Home Minister, notably the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, and his commitment to make India free from Maoism by 2026.
"Under his (Amit Shah's) guidance, the security, sovereignty, and stability achievements that India has realized are truly commendable. I extend my heartfelt congratulations on this magnificent milestone, Home Minister ji," he added.
With 2,258 days in office, Amit Shah has now outdone the previous record held by the veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani.
Amit Shah took office during the second term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government on May 30, 2019.
