Chennai, Jan 21 (NationPress) The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu has received a substantial enhancement on Wednesday with the official induction of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) into the coalition, spearheaded by its General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran.
This milestone was commemorated through a prominent meeting and a joint press conference featuring Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who also oversees the BJP’s electoral strategy in the state.
Immediately following the announcement, AIADMK General Secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami offered a cordial and public reception to Dhinakaran, sharing a goodwill message on his official X account.
This action was interpreted as a definitive sign of unity within the broadened NDA coalition as preparations escalate for the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
In a media interaction, Piyush Goyal stated that the NDA was unifying with renewed determination to challenge what he labeled as the “corrupt and anti-people” DMK administration.
He mentioned that senior leaders from the alliance, including Palaniswami, PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss, and Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) President G.K. Vasan, were aligned in their goal to provide a robust alternative to the current government.
“The DMK alliance has betrayed the populace, culture, and values of Tamil Nadu. The NDA is coming together as one family to terminate this misgovernance. The corruption involving Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and his family will be unveiled before the citizens of the state,” Goyal asserted.
During the press briefing, TTV Dhinakaran expressed his satisfaction in rejoining the NDA and contributing to the fortification of the alliance in Tamil Nadu.
“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, we have resolved to once again affiliate with the NDA. Setting aside prior disputes and challenges, our singular aim now is to expel the DMK government that has deceived Tamil Nadu,” he commented.
Political analysts perceive AMMK’s incorporation as a strategic move by the NDA to consolidate anti-DMK votes and establish a more unified Opposition.
With public endorsements, synchronized messaging, and coordinated campaigning anticipated in the forthcoming months, the NDA seems eager to project cohesion and momentum as the electoral contest in Tamil Nadu intensifies.
