New Delhi, Oct 13 (NationPress) The Indian Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, engaged in discussions with his French counterpart, General Pierre Schill, on Monday, just ahead of the upcoming United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Chiefs' Conclave scheduled for Tuesday, as confirmed by an official statement.
In their talks, both military leaders reinforced the strong Indo-French strategic partnership, focusing on the expansion of joint training exercises, collaboration in counter-terrorism, and advancements in defence technology, according to an announcement on X.
They also stressed the importance of enhancing interoperability during UN peacekeeping missions, the official noted.
General Pierre Schill's itinerary included a visit to the National Defence College in Delhi, where he addressed and interacted with participants from the 65th course of the National Defence Corps.
The aim of General Schill's visit was to foster senior military leadership interactions, gather insights into training methodologies, and exchange best practices.
