New Delhi, Feb 24 (NationPress) General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), was greeted with great warmth by India's Ambassador Sanjeev Singla in Paris. This welcome precedes his discussions with his French counterpart on matters concerning bilateral defence cooperation and global security challenges, as stated by an official on Monday.
The visit, taking place from February 24 to 27, is intended to enhance military collaboration between India and France, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent trip to France to co-chair the AI Action Summit in Paris.
Commencing with a Guard of Honour, General Dwivedi's packed schedule on Monday will feature talks with his French counterpart, CEMAT (Chef d'Etat-Major de l'Armee de Terre) General Pierre Schill, aimed at reinforcing military relations between the two countries, as indicated by an official statement.
The itinerary for the Indian Army chief also includes a visit to the Ecole Militaire, the renowned Military School and Institution Complex in Paris, where he will receive updates on Future Combat Command (CCF).
Additionally, General Dwivedi will receive briefings at the Technical Section of the French Army (STAT) and will explore the Battle Lab Terre in Versailles.

On February 26, General Dwivedi will travel to Carpiagne to observe a live demonstration of the Scorpion Division featuring live-fire exercises.
