Ashish Shelar Advocates for a Unified Permit System for Film Shoot Approvals in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Dec 27 (NationPress) The Cultural Affairs Minister of Maharashtra and Mumbai BJP Chief, Ashish Shelar, on Thursday instructed his department to implement a single-window clearance scheme aimed at giving a significant boost to film productions. This initiative is designed to transform the state into a primary hub for production houses, facilitating film shoots, maximizing employment opportunities, and simplifying the process of issuing film shooting permits to producers.

Minister Shelar emphasized that the Cultural Affairs department plays a vital role in generating employment within the state while raising awareness about societal issues.

He has urged senior officials to ensure the effective execution of these necessary schemes.

During this meeting, various activities, plans, projects, and initiatives were discussed, along with an action plan for the upcoming 100 days.

Minister Shelar engaged in a detailed discussion regarding several topics, including the online implementation of the single-window clearance scheme throughout Maharashtra, the redevelopment of the P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, its ceremonial inauguration, the organization of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar special publication ceremony, and the Maharashtra Bhushan Award ceremony.

The meeting included the presence of several key officials, such as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry, Vikas Kharge, Managing Director of Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation, Swati Mhase Patil, Joint Managing Director Dhananjay Savalkar, Deputy Secretary Mahesh Vavhal, Deputy Secretary Nanda Raut, Under-Secretary Balasaheb Sawant, Under-Secretary Parasram Bahure, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department Dilip Balsekar, Director of P.L. Academy Minal Joglekar, Secretary of Rangbhumi Prayog Parinirikshan Mandal Santosh Khamkar, Joint Director of Rajya Sahitya Akademi Sachin Nimbalkar, Director of the Directorate of Archives Sujit Kumar Ugale, and others who were present on this occasion.
