Guwahati, Feb 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, declared on Sunday that his administration has made the transparent recruitment process a top priority, resulting in significant changes to the governance framework.

While participating in an event today, the Chief Minister emphasized the necessity of transparency in recruitment, effective governance, and an agile administration to build public confidence.

He pointed out that good governance is fundamental to a strong administrative structure, warning that a lack of it can lead to social unrest and diminished trust in the system.

Recognizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-standing efforts to create a governance model, he remarked that these reforms have made administrative processes more organized and have significantly improved public service delivery.

Reflecting on the progress made over the last three and a half years, Sarma noted the government’s achievements in ensuring good governance.

He specifically highlighted the transparency in recruitment, stating that despite the extensive hiring, there have been no allegations of misconduct, nor have any legal disputes arisen.

He expressed pride in this achievement, mentioning that Assam’s recruitment framework is now being adopted by various other states.

He reiterated Prime Minister Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation (Viksit Bharat) by 2047 and his goal to position the nation as the world's third-largest economy by 2027.

Encouraging the newly appointed candidates to align with this vision, he urged them to uphold integrity in governance and commit themselves to serving the public, thereby enhancing the pillars of administrative excellence.

The Chief Minister also recognized renowned archer Jayanta Talukdar as the new Deputy Superintendent of Police, acknowledging his impressive accomplishments, which include a gold medal at the 2004 Asian Grand Prix, victories at the 2006 and 2009 Archery World Cup, a silver medal at the 2005 World Championship, and a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
