Additionally, Rs 1,49,500 and a mobile device were also confiscated from her.
Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the STF team for their successful drug recovery.
This drug bust in Guwahati came just a day after another major operation, where the STF seized drugs worth Rs 71 crore on April 18. Heroin and potent methamphetamine tablets, valued at Rs 71 crore, were taken during two distinct operations in the Amingaon area of Kamrup district.
According to officials, two drivers of the vehicles transporting the narcotics were also detained during this investigation.
In the April 18 operation, the STF recovered 2,70,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 67 crore from a truck, while 520 grams of heroin worth Rs 4 crore were discovered in 40 soap boxes inside a Hyundai car.
Officials indicated that both the Yaba tablets, commonly referred to as party tablets, and the heroin were trafficked from Myanmar.
The drivers of the involved vehicles, identified as Nur Islam (34) and Nazrul Hussain alias Ali Hussain (22), were taken into custody under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.
The operation on April 18 was spearheaded by STF chief Parthasarathi Mahanta, with support from Additional Superintendent of Police, STF, Kalyan Pathak.
Officials suspect that the highly addictive methamphetamine tablets were trafficked from Myanmar and intended for illegal distribution in Assam and potentially across the border into Bangladesh or other regions of India.
