New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) As the BJP unveiled a fresh campaign anthem for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections, leveraging the Ram Temple in Ayodhya to resonate with the electorate, AAP National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar sharply critiqued the move on Wednesday, declaring that the populace of Ayodhya had indeed turned against the BJP despite the temple's establishment.

The BJP's anthem, "Jo Ram ko lekar aaye, unka raaj hoga Delhi mei (Those who have brought Ram will rule Delhi!)", brings attention to critical issues in the nation’s capital, including pollution, drinking water shortages, poor waste management, and overflowing landfills.

In an interview with IANS, Kakkar lambasted the BJP’s messaging, stating, "Look, where the Ram Temple was constructed, the residents there have spurned the BJP. Why? Because the BJP confiscated people's lands without compensation, rendered them homeless, and demolished their residences. Following the construction of the Ram Temple, the roof leaked during the initial rain, and even the priest commented on it. The BJP is a fundamentally corrupt entity, from top to bottom. Who are they to invoke God? God has united us all."

Kakkar also praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s initiatives in Muslim-dominant regions, commending his outreach efforts.

In response to Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit's claim that "Punjab police personnel are campaigning in the national Capital," Kakkar urged Dikshit to cease parroting the BJP's language, asserting, "Dikshit ought to stop using the BJP's rhetoric. Union Home Minister Amit Shah must apologize for the disrespect towards Punjabis by BJP members. Otherwise, Punjabis will push the button so forcefully this time in Delhi that it will send a jolt to the BJP."

The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with the outcomes to be announced on February 8.

As in past elections, the BJP and AAP are anticipated to engage in a fierce rivalry. While AAP has maintained significant political dominance in Delhi for over a decade, the BJP has been relegated to the Opposition's seats. With both parties vying for control, it will be intriguing to observe Congress's strategy in this electoral battle.
