Patna, May 13 (NationPress) Following Operation Sindoor and the recent sacrifice of a soldier from Bihar, Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) leader and Member of Parliament Chandrashekhar Azad has called for a special session of Parliament to elucidate the Union government's position on terrorism and national security.
While addressing the media in Patna on Tuesday, Azad stated, “We are pushing for a special session to clarify the government's position. I honor the bravery of those stationed at the borders. The government must implement tangible measures to alleviate their fears.”
Azad condemned the persistent climate of terrorism, highlighting the tragic loss of soldiers. He expressed his condolences to the family of the martyred soldier from Bihar.
He also criticized the Bihar government for failing to bestow the appropriate honors during the last rites of the martyr.
On Monday, the remains of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz, who was killed in a clash with the Pakistan Army in Jammu’s R.S. Pura sector, arrived at Patna Airport and received state honors.
Notable leaders such as Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar Ministers Shravan Kumar and Nitin Naveen, along with senior administrative and BSF officials, were present at the airport to pay their last respects to the fallen hero.
Azad urged for a vigorous response to terrorism, asserting that actions should be taken against those who harbor terrorists, not just Pakistan.
He also criticized the NDA and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding the Waqf Board matter, saying: “Nitish Kumar’s credibility has diminished due to the NDA and its allies' stance on the Waqf issue.”
Furthermore, he spotlighted issues of youth migration and unemployment in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, questioning the efficacy of government policies.
“Even today, employment remains the foremost issue for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The youth from Bihar continue to migrate for job opportunities, indicating the government’s lack of concern for the youth,” Azad remarked.
Azad encouraged the public to make informed choices in the upcoming elections, indicating discontent with both central and state leadership on vital issues like security, respect for soldiers, and employment.
