Jaipur, March 17 (NationPress) On Monday, the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a woman who claims to hail from Balochistan, after she unlawfully crossed the India-Pakistan border into Rajasthan.
The woman was captured at the Vijeta post in Anupgarh, located in the Sri Ganganagar district during the morning hours, according to officials.
She has firmly rejected any notion of returning to Pakistan, asserting that her life would be at risk if she did.
As per reports, the woman crossed over the barbed wire fence and entered Indian territory around 5:30 a.m.
BSF personnel stationed at the Vijeta post promptly took her into custody.
During initial questioning, she expressed a strong desire to seek asylum in India, citing fears for her safety if repatriated.
The detained individual identified herself as Humara (33), from Dagri Khan village in Kech district, Balochistan. She mentioned that her husband’s name is Wasim and that her family originally hailed from Karachi.
