Hyderabad, July 7 (NationPress) - The Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay, issued a warning on Monday that any aggression from BRS towards a television channel would result in a reciprocal response.
He noted that BJP state president Ramchandra Rao directed the BJYM to retaliate against the BRS office, Telangana Bhavan, within two hours, should the BRS target the ABN Andhra Jyothi office.
Speaking to reporters in the Jagtial district, he criticized BRS leaders for their menacing attitude towards media entities.
He claimed that a faction of BRS leaders had assaulted the ABN office over a week ago and suggested that, following an editorial in a Telugu newspaper associated with the same management, BRS leaders were gearing up for another attack.
Sanjay accused the Congress government of shielding BRS leaders. He asserted that if the BRS thugs who attacked the TV office had been apprehended and penalized, the current crisis could have been averted.
The MoS stated that the BJP is fully prepared to defend democracy and support the media. “KCR's goondaism will not succeed in Telangana, and we will ensure it does not,” he emphasized.
Sanjay criticized BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao for allegedly mocking his son over a pricey shirt. “Just because he wore an expensive shirt, they are accusing me of amassing Rs. 1000 crores. I challenge the KCR family to come to the temple and take a vow regarding properties, including benami,” he declared.
Sanjay claimed that the Congress government was shielding BRS leaders implicated in the embezzlement of millions in public funds related to the Kaleshwaram project, phone tapping, and Formula-E scandals.
He strongly criticized the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) for failing to demolish the building of AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi's college, which was constructed on the lakebed in the old city of Hyderabad.
He questioned why an exception was made for Owaisi when HYDRAA was demolishing the homes of the underprivileged under the guise of encroachments.
“HYDRAA claims they cannot demolish illegal structures at Owaisi’s college because 10,000 students are enrolled there. But why did they demolish small houses and huts built by poor families in the Musi River catchment areas?” he queried, demanding accountability from the state government.
