The rising temperatures have been exacerbated by warm winds sweeping through western Rajasthan during the day, increasing the discomfort for residents.
A warning from the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur announced that heatwave conditions are expected to affect parts of the state starting from April 17. Similar cloud activity was reported in some areas of Nagaur later in the evening.
The Meteorological Centre has indicated that heat conditions are likely to escalate in the coming days. A Yellow Alert has been issued for several districts in western Rajasthan. On April 17, areas including Sri Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, and Barmer are expected to experience severe heat.
The alert will remain in effect for Sri Ganganagar and Barmer on April 18. Residents are advised to take precautions as high temperatures are anticipated to persist, potentially leading to more severe conditions.
