New Delhi, June 26 (NationPress) In a sharp retort to Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee's assertion that the BJP is doomed to secure less than 50 seats in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections in 2026, former BJP MP Nisith Pramanik launched a fierce counter-offensive. Pramanik accused the Trinamool of deceiving the electorate in 2021 through the strategies of poll consultant Prashant Kishor.
In an interview with IANS in Kolkata, Pramanik stated, “The Trinamool, in collaboration with Prashant Kishor, misled the people of Bengal in 2021. The electorate will not repeat that error. For the 2026 elections, they are prepared to oust the Trinamool and significantly support the BJP.”
He also claimed that West Bengal is facing a situation of “lawlessness and disorder,” claiming that conditions have worsened under Trinamool governance.
“The entire nation is witnessing the dire state of West Bengal. Hindus are being targeted,” Pramanik asserted, adding, “I firmly believe that Bengali Hindus have united. They will provide a strong response to the Trinamool in 2026.”
