Bengaluru, April 7 (NationPress) A tragic event involving a software engineer who had been living apart from his wife and child for the past two years has reportedly culminated in suicide, as he was allegedly unable to cope with the agony of separation, according to police sources on Monday.
The victim has been recognized as Prashant Nair (40). This incident took place at the DX Smart Nest Apartment, located in Ganigarahalli near Chikkanabavara in Bengaluru city.
Initial investigations indicate that the deceased had been living alone for the last two years due to a family dispute. The couple had initiated a mutual divorce process in family court.
Prashant Nair was working for Lenovo and had wed Pooja Nair approximately 12 years ago with the agreement of both families. They have an eight-year-old daughter. The family resided in Hennur, but over the past year, there had been persistent disagreements between Prashant and Pooja over minor issues.
Reports suggest that Prashant Nair took his own life by hanging himself using a curtain in the room he was residing in. The family of the deceased has informed the police that they do not suspect foul play in his death.
The Sadduguntepalya police are currently investigating the situation.
