Bhopal/New Delhi, April 13 (NationPress) Disqualified former Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti has vehemently criticized senior leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), particularly former State Home Minister and his rival Narottam Mishra, along with Vishvas Sarang, accusing them of orchestrating a conspiracy against him following his conviction in a protracted bank fraud case.
Addressing the media at the Congress office in Bhopal for the first time post-verdict, Bharti stated, "This entire case was pre-planned and politically motivated. There was a deliberate attempt to ensnare me through a conspiracy."
He further claimed that Mishra exploited his authority, asserting, "The prosecution was misled, and the case was manipulated in collusion with the bank's legal counsel to secure my conviction."
Bharti conveyed his trust in the judicial system, remarking, "I have complete faith in the court, and I'm optimistic that justice will prevail."
He also made grave accusations against Mishra, alleging, "Crores of rupees in black money have been laundered into white through temple construction. He shows no regard for people or even God."
In further criticism of the former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister, Bharti remarked, "There is no respect for the people's mandate."
This statement referred to the large 'Navagrah Shakti Peeth' temple recently built by Mishra in his home district of Datia.
Attacking Madhya Pradesh's Sports Minister Vishvas Sarang, the former Congress MLA indicated that false accusations had been directed at his mother and warned of a potential defamation lawsuit.

The Delhi High Court is set to review Bharti's plea contesting his conviction and three-year prison sentence related to a Rural Development Bank fraud case, where he is accused of falsifying documents to receive illicit interest payments from 1998 to 2011.
