Bihar BJP Criticizes Tejashwi Yadav for Financial Pledges to Women

Patna, Dec 25 (NationPress) The President of Bihar BJP, Dilip Jaiswal, has taken a firm stand against RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, criticizing his recent declaration of providing Rs 2,500 each month to women within the state.
Jaiswal expressed skepticism regarding the practicality of this pledge and questioned its potential execution.
He mockingly inquired whether Tejashwi would fund the initiative from his “Babu Ji’s (Daddy’s) house.”
Furthermore, Jaiswal reminded citizens of the previous conditions surrounding women's welfare during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s leadership, contending that the RJD did not enhance the situation for women during its extended governance.
In a comparison with Chhattisgarh, Jaiswal equated Tejashwi's promises to those made by Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Minister of Congress, who also made various pledges during elections.
“Even with Baghel’s promises, the BJP triumphed in Chhattisgarh as voters realized that mere announcements do not translate into actions,” Jaiswal stated.
The BJP leader asserted that only the Bharatiya Janata Party possesses the credibility and capacity to fulfill promises, claiming that the declarations made by the RJD and its allies lack genuine substance.
Previously, Tejashwi Yadav proposed Rs 2,500 monthly assistance for women under the suggested ‘Mai-Behan Maan Yojana’, along with 200 units of complimentary electricity should the Grand Alliance succeed in the upcoming 2025 Assembly elections.
Jaiswal raised doubts about the reliability of such commitments and reaffirmed the public's faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He remarked that in India, “nothing is guaranteed,” except for the confidence in Modi’s leadership. The BJP leader contended that the populace overwhelmingly trusts PM Modi’s capability to deliver on promises, in contrast to the opposition, which he accused of making only hollow declarations.
Dilip Jaiswal made these remarks during a Milan Samaroh held at the BJP state office in Patna, where he welcomed social worker Kunal Kishore from Barbigha along with hundreds of his supporters into the party. The event was graced by notable leaders, including BJP MP Vivek Thakur.
Jaiswal underscored the fortification of the BJP's organizational structure in areas like Barbigha due to the inclusion of impactful personalities like Kunal Kishore.
