Bihar: BPSC Cancels 70th Combined PT Exam at One Center

Patna, Dec 16 (NationPress) The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially declared the cancellation of the examination conducted at the Bapu Examination Centre based on the investigation report submitted by Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh on Monday.
BPSC Chairman Ravi Manu Bhai Parmar confirmed that a new examination date for the affected center will be announced shortly.
“The cancellation pertains only to the Bapu Examination Centre located in Patna. However, the overall results of the examination will be released simultaneously for all candidates. Students are encouraged not to panic, as updates regarding the new date will be made available on the commission's official website,” Parmar stated.
The decision to cancel was made promptly following a meeting chaired by Parmar at the BPSC office in Patna. This meeting took place after the submission of the District Magistrate's investigation report.
The technical teams from BPSC and the district administration have pinpointed those responsible for creating disturbances, spreading false information, and damaging examination materials, including booklets and attendance sheets. Parmar indicated that strict measures will be taken against the individuals involved.
Prior to announcing the cancellation for the Bapu Examination Centre, BPSC Chairman Ravi Manu Bhai Parmar noted that the 70th Preliminary Test (PT) was conducted smoothly across 911 centres.
Addressing the rumors regarding a potential paper leak, Parmar firmly rejected these claims, stating there was no evidence of any leak during the examination.
“The accusations of a paper leak were unfounded. The integrity of the examination was upheld at all centers,” he affirmed.
The 70th combined entrance examination took place on December 13, and a significant number of candidates caused disturbances both inside and outside the examination center.
Parmar advised students to keep an eye on the official website for information on the rescheduled exam for the Bapu centre.
