Patna, April 17 (NationPress) To gear up for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has organized a two-day training workshop designed to educate Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from various political parties, ensuring the electoral process is conducted smoothly and efficiently.

The training sessions took place on Wednesday (April 16) and Thursday (April 17) and included participants from key political factions such as BJP, JD-U, RJD, Congress, LJP-RV, RLJP, CPI-ML, and others.

Altaf Aalam from JD-U commended the effort, stating: “This is the first instance of such a technical training program being conducted in Delhi. We have previously received guidance from electoral and returning officers at the district level, but this is the first time the ECI has provided direct training to us.”

Raghwendra Jha of BJP emphasized the workshop's significance, saying: “It’s a commendable initiative. We've acquired numerous useful insights and intend to educate our teams at both district and state levels.”

Mithilesh Kumar Das from RJD remarked: “If all BLAs adhere to the ECI guidelines and engage actively with voters, achieving a 100 percent voter turnout during polling is possible.”

Prabhat Kumar of Congress expressed gratitude, stating: “This is a remarkable step by the ECI, and I sincerely thank them for organizing this for the first time.”

Rohan Kumar Mahto from LJP-RV reiterated his commitment, stating, “I will share the insights gained from the training with fellow BLAs in my district to enhance voter turnout in the elections.”

Jay Prakash Paswan of CPI-ML acknowledged the technical advantages: “We learned how to assist voters with adding or removing names from the electoral roll.”

Binay Kumar Choudhary from RLJP shared his optimism: “Such training initiatives will not only boost voter turnout but also aid voters directly.”

The two-day training session focused on educating BLAs about electoral procedures, ensuring accuracy in voter rolls, enhancing voter outreach, and promoting transparency and fairness.

This program by the ECI is unprecedented in its effort to unite agents across party lines for a comprehensive training initiative aimed at fostering electoral integrity and increasing voter participation.
