Patna, Oct 12 (NationPress) The national spokesperson of Janata Dal (United), Rajeev Ranjan, remarked on Sunday that there is a 'massive chaos' within the Mahagathbandhan concerning the Chief Minister's position, despite the alliance being aware that 'the NDA is set to establish a government in Bihar'.
Ranjan sharply criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks regarding a potential merger between BJP and JD(U), attributing them to Yadav’s 'mental bankruptcy'.
In a conversation with IANS about the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Ranjan mentioned that the announcement regarding seat-sharing within the NDA would be made shortly.
“There’s a massive chaos within the Mahagathbandhan. There are no issues within the NDA. All decisions have been finalized. In a few hours, the scenario will become evident,” he stated.
Criticizing Tejashwi Yadav for his assertion that JD(U) would ally with BJP post-elections, Ranjan expressed, “He has begun making predictions. He will have ample time for that after the elections. We believe that following the elections, there are astute politicians who will need to find alternative arrangements, so they have devised a solution.”
Moreover, he emphasized that JD(U) has consistently adhered to its principles and has been under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
“The JD(U) is renowned for its principles. Just like Nitish Kumar effectively managed the coalition government in Bihar for two decades, the party has grown and prospered. Presently, the party's foundation has become the largest in the state. Our workers are incredibly dedicated, and the public's support remains steadfast with Nitish Kumar. Therefore, such misleading news only amuses us, reflecting Tejashwi Yadav's mental bankruptcy. He should refrain from making such declarations,” he asserted.
Ranjan also stated that Congress is not endorsing Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan because it recognizes the reality on the ground and believes that the NDA will once again form the government under Nitish Kumar's guidance.
“Rahul Gandhi is well aware of the ground realities. They believe that this time the NDA government will also be established under Nitish Kumar's leadership. Tejashwi is determined to present himself as a CM candidate, but Congress is ignoring this obstinacy,” he explained.
“In the Mahagathbandhan, some individuals are vying for the Chief Minister position while others are competing for the Deputy Chief Minister role. They are even clashing among themselves over seat-sharing, despite being fully aware that this will never come to fruition,” he added.
